Been working on another 16 foot by 5 1/2 foot wide aluminum boat I got the other day, keeping me busy and out of trouble. Things are rolling along, but going to be needing a windshield for the front of it. If anyone has one that they don’t need or don’t use any more and not wanting to much money I would sure appreciate hearing from you. I will give dimensions once I find some one that has one. I did put a bead of Marine Glue on the old one yesterday, which I am hoping will hold things till I find another. Got to be one out there somewhere. Other than that, gardens are growing nicely. Salads bowls are heaping full come supper time. Pretty tasty let me tell ya. Hot one yesterday an will be the same today, so good idea to keep th blinds down this morning and ceiling fan circulating the air a bit through the day. That is all we ever use and our home is nice and cool all day and night. Never need an air-conditioner. So there you have it, have a great day and enjoy the sunshine. Oh and for those that might have a boat windshield you can reach me at [email protected] Thanks!!

Quiet day today, not much movement up and down the highway. All the travelers that were on the roads have made it to their destination and is resting up for the coming week, I suspect. Can’t say I rightly blame them neither. Yesterday I took our Giesler boat out with my lovely wife and have to say it sure was pretty out there. I didn’t get any fish though but did hook on one nice one. Didn’t have it hooked good enough I guess and as it flipped itself out of the water, it shook the hook right out of its mouth. If there is anyone that has ways of that not happening let me know, as have lost a lot of fish that way lately. Thinking my hook is to large or something that is on the lure I am using. Maybe get to changing that. At any rate, we had a great afternoon let me tell ya. Sunshine on ones back, calm water with s light breeze, taking in all the smells and surrounded by nothing but what nature has to offer. That is what life is all about. Well tea time here my friends so have a great day. Oh with the bug report, the Black Flies and Mosquito’s weren’t bad at all out there on the water yesterday.

Well other than a great looking day out there not much going on. Folks are busy at their cottages and I am sure more will be headed this way through out the day, being Friday. I was talking to a OPP Officer in Britt the other day and he said the Highways were hectic out there with accidents and folks speeding. You know….driving to fast doesn’t in reality get you to your destination any quicker. What it does do though, is put you, your family and others, in a greater risk bracket of not getting there at all, or becoming seariously hurt. When that happens no one wins my friends, so drive according to what is specified and drive safe. Bug report; Black fies and Mosquitoes still not to bad but they are out there. Not enough to discourage a fellow or gal from fishing though. Have a great day my friends.

I was talking to a few folks around town yesterday and there is a cold bug going around, so one would be wise to wash their hands after going to the store or such places. Don’t need anyone other than those that are sick now catching it. Just a heads up that’s all. Health tip for the day; When washing your hands try and ween yourself off all this antibacterial soap and things in your home. Statistics today show that all it does is make things worse. If you want to disinfect your home or hands, use good old white vinegar. Nothing can match its power. That is all my wife and I have been using now for over thirty years./ Also should mention my wife and I haven’t had a cold or flu, as far back as we can remember. But, the decision is up to you, I am only stating my opinion using a simple alternative. Also talking to bushiness around town, most are saying it was the busiest long weekend in a lot of years. Good sign I would think, of what’s to come. Have a great day my friends.

Lots of cottagers opening up for the coming summer. Cars are coming in by the dozens. So looks like a pretty fair year shaping up. Great to see folks enjoying life and doing what they love. If one would know the truth, that is what we all should be doing, as that is what life is all about. As being happy is our main purpose of being here on this old earth. Bug report. Mosquitoes are more of a bother this year, than black flies. reason being it is so dry. But that is OK by me. Makes it nicer out there fishing, let me tell ya.
Health Tip; For great health switch to using Celtic Sea Salt. It has a bluish ting to it and is damp when arriving at your home. You can dry it and then grind it as you would coffee. It’s not the salt that is causing problems with folks today, I have found through research, it is what is in the salt. Enjoy and have a great day.
