Great weekend so far. Had lots of customers dropping by our small store.  The amazing challenge was fun. and lots took part to make it a great day.  Then later on the parade which runs right past our house was a huge success.   My son Karl took a lot of pictures and will have them here on the Blog and web site in the coming days.  I thought they out did themselves this year and all should be commended on a great performance.  Thanks goes out to all that made it possible.  Our Grandson was given candy and a fireman’s helmet LOL and well he just loves it. Bug report. Nothing to speak of really other than some pesky mosquitoes.  To be expected in this part of the country.  Black flies are pretty well all gone now, which is OK by me.  On another note if your interested in a really nice boat I have one for sale here at my home.  It’s a 16 ft Giesler in tip top condition.  Asking $4500.00.  It comes with a like new 15 HP Evinrude Motor,  Swivel Leather Seats, New Gas tank. Also comes with a like new Easy Load Trailer, white in color.  The top part of the boat is all natural cedar in very good shape.  The inside is also very nice.  The bottom is covered with clear fiberglass so one can see the cedar underneath and has no leaks to speak of. On July 1st at 1:30 PM at the Heritage Museum in Commanda, the Valley Bells will be showing off a quilt. This isn’t just a normal quilt by no means, it is all hand made  approximately seven feet or so across.  Loaded with pictures of different homesteads of the original folks that lived here many years ago. Pretty amazing in itself, let me tell ya.  I am thinking everyone should take a few minutes and go and see this quilt; as these things hardly ever comes along for us to see.  There  is also lunches and barbecues through out the whole day, so lots to do and enjoy.  Have a great day my friends.

Not much happening around town.  Weather didn’t corporate for those Fathers wanting to do some sittin’ in the old sunshine; but that will all change after today as lots of sunshine is heading our way with nice warm temperatures to go along with it.   The rain though was much needed  and looking at my vegetable garden this morning I am thinking it grew about six inches last night. Nothing can get a garden to growing nicer than good old Mother Nature.   Remember this folks; We are all fed by the soil of the planet we walk upon, we drink her water, we breathe her air and we eat her food.  We carry her with every breath, with every step, with every sip, and with every bite we take.  We came from it and will end up becoming part of it.  Have a great day.
