What happens if you have already eaten the bread
“The recall was due to the possibility of steel shavings in the bread, which could pose a risk if ingested. Even though I ate some myself and didn’t notice any issues, I still threw the rest away to avoid any chance of small particles causing harm. If anyone has eaten the bread and feels fine, they’re likely okay. However, if there’s any discomfort—like unusual throat or digestive irritation—it might be best to reach out to a healthcare provider, just to be on the safe side.”
Why is this important information on the tag????? Dumb.
Thank you for your question! If I understand correctly, you might be asking why the information about the bread recall isn’t always shared directly on the bread tag itself.
To explain: When a product is recalled, it’s usually up to the brand or stores to inform customers through notices, websites, and news outlets, rather than changing the physical tags on products. This is because recalls often happen after the products are already on shelves. It’s important to check the tags and packaging for specific details like production codes and expiry dates when identifying recalled items.
I hope this clears up your question! If you meant something different, feel free to follow up.
Is the NO 07 KR code the best before date?
“NO 07” likely means November 7th as the best-before date. “KR” is probably a batch or production code. For exact details, check with the manufacturer.
My upsc code is the same in the list but plastic tag is NO20. So can I use the bread?
If your bread is in the codes, I would think it is best to discard it—or return it for a refund if you can. My wife got rid of all ours. Why take the chance. GW
Where do I find the codes on the packages of country harvest bread that have been recalled?
I am not sure where to find the codes other than checking it out on the internet.
I did find this. Look for the UPC code, lot number, and best-before date on the packaging of Country Harvest bread. These are usually near the barcode or on the closure tag. Compare these details to those listed in the official recall notice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. If they match, do not consume the bread.
On the plastic tag that keeps the bag closed.
Thank you.
